Jomsom Trek

The Jomsom trek is one of the most famous treks in Nepal. The trek follows the ancient trading route from India to Tibet. The trail will bring you through the beautiful forested lower hills, wind its way up by the river through the Kali Gandaki gorge, until it finally opens up to the spectacular barren mountain landscape of the lower mustang region. Said to be the deepest gorge in the world, the Kali Gandaki gorge is towered over to the East by the magnificent Annapurna range and to the West by Dhaulagiri Himal. The higher mountains areas will be mainly populated by Buddhists, while the temple at Muktinath is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in Nepal for Hindus and Buddhists alike. It is a powerful example of how two of the world’s religions can worship together in harmony.

The trek will finish up with a breathtaking mountain flight to Pokhara over the Kali Gandaki gorge, surrounded by some of the highest mountains in the world.
